No one get's worried

The last snow storm was a few weeks ago, but I took some beautiful pictures of the foot or so of snow. It was an incredible storm, and I'm so glad we got one last round of white before spring hit. Now the weather is getting warmer, and there won't be any more snow for many months. Every year I say I'm going to go to Central Park and take pictures, and I never end up doing it. Maybe next year...

I keep dreaming about California

My first snow day! Yesterday all of the New York public schools and most of the private universities sent out mass emails saying that SCHOOL IS CLOSED! Wooohoo! I've never had a snow day before, and I really want to go make a snowman and make snow angels and just go play in it all in the park. But it's still snowing like crazy outside and the winds are pretty intense so it might have to wait until later. What would be super cool is if it didn't stop snowing like this until tomorrow night... that way we could have TWO SNOW DAYS!! Just like the movie. The pictures above are from this morning when the snow was kind of tapering off. I took them outside my local coffee shop. But the pictures below are of what going on now. These were taken from out my window.

Vegan deliciousness at the General Store! Sometimes it's really hard resisting these fresh bake goodies in the morning time with my coffee.... so sometimes I'll get a cookie.

This is not the snow from yesterday, but from just about a week ago. I'm still enamored by the snow.

This one was also just the other day. I was walking to work and just a half a block up University Place was a giant cake being attacked by a gaggle of pigeons! I think the cake had once said Happy Birthday too.
